Safe Families for Children - Merseyside
Based on the transformational work in Chicago and the North East to date the potential positive impact for families in crisis is very exciting. It is quite an historic moment, and essentially means Safe Families for Children is open for business on Merseyside (with our 100 and counting volunteers) to receive referrals from Liverpool Social Services and offer families in crisis an alternative to section 20. The vision is a to create a network consisting of hundreds of compassionate, community-based volunteers who will reach out to families experiencing crises of different kinds, and especially those who have younger children.
